Pregnancy & Postpartum Therapy
Virtual Therapy Across Massachusetts
Everyone plans for the baby, but no one checks on mom
From the day you announce you’re expecting, everyone plans for the baby; the nursery colors, the car seats, and… “Are you going to breastfeed or formula feed?”
No one sees what you’ve been through to get here. The gut-dropping feeling of “I’m not ready for this yet” or the relief of seeing those pink lines after years of fertility treatments.
The crippling fear you have going into every OB appointment, wondering if the baby is “OK” and if you’re going to hear the heartbeat.
There's a constant knot in your stomach as you imagine everything that could go wrong. Even walking down the stairs with baby or getting out of the house feels like a death trap.
You’re jump-scaring awake to every noise and sound your baby is making, googling if it’s normal and making sure that she’s breathing every 20 minutes.
The pit in your stomach that you feel handing off your baby to your own mother, knowing that you need to get some sleep, but cannot rest knowing that your baby is somewhere else.
Everyone talks about how much love and joy you feel the moment you put your baby on your chest, but that never came for you.
You sit in the shower with the water pouring down you with tears running down your face because all you feel is nothing, when this is supposed to be the happiest time of your life.
When mom’s good, everyone is good
No matter where you are in your motherhood journey; pregnancy, postpartum, or two years later, feel supported and prepared. Postpartum is forever.

Through virtual postpartum therapy, you don’t have to choose between your recovery and your baby’s care. Together, and yes with your baby right beside you if you choose, we can help you meet your basic needs when it might feel like you can’t find the energy to even shower, manage worries and intrusive thoughts, and monitor symptoms of postpartum depression (PPD), postpartum anxiety (PPA), and other Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). You deserve grounded, compassionate support in this season.

PPA is persistent, often irrational worry about your baby's safety and wellbeing that shows up within the first year postpartum. This goes above and beyond being a “worried’ new mom.
The symptoms of anxiety during the perinatal period can include:
Constant worry
Feeling that something bad might happen
Racing thoughts
Disturbances of sleep and appetite
Inability to sit still
Physical symptoms could include dizziness, hot flashes diarrhea and nausea
Feelings of anger, irritability and/or rage
Nervousness/on edge/anxious, trouble relaxing

Sessions with me feel like a casual conversation over a cup of coffee. Our conversation is not just “venting”, we learn which thoughts and feelings are adaptive and which are getting in the way of your comfort and ease. We will learn to manage your intrusive thoughts and worries and decrease then in frequency and intensity.
Sessions aren’t just “how does that make you feel” convos or '“just breathe” tools. You can expect an honest, non‑judgmental space that is challenging yet validating. I’ll ask questions, reflect on what I see and offer practical ideas to make change.

This is what make anxiety so debilitating: your nervous system has been in "alert mode" for so long that it can no longer distinguish when something is actually wrong or not. It's essentially stuck in a state of chronic low-level threat detection, scanning for problems even when things are objectively okay. For moms, this often intensifies because there's rarely genuine downtime to let the system reset. Therapy helps you understand why your nervous system got there and how to actually turn the alarm off.

Normal stress tends to ease when the stressor goes away- a hard week at work, a sick kid, a busy stretch. Anxiety hangs around even after the situation resolves, or shifts to a new worry before the old one is even gone. If you find yourself unable to fully relax even when things are calm, waking up at 3am with your brain already running, or feeling like something bad is always about to happen that's anxiety, not just the cost of being a new mom. You don't have to normalize it as part of the deal.

it's extremely common, and having the thought does not mean you want it to happen or are in any danger of acting on it. Intrusive thoughts are one of the most common ( and most hidden) symptoms of postpartum anxiety and other perinatal mood disorders, precisely because mothers are terrified to say them out loud. The shame around them is usually worse than the thoughts themselves. This is something that I will recognize immediately, without alarm.
